Team of Doan & Scott Claim KBS TOUR Shafts Pro-Assistant Championship

IRVING, TEXAS – The Preston Trail Golf Club team of Cameron Doan, PGA head professional, and Kyler Scott, assistant professional, captured the KBS TOUR Shafts Pro-Assistant Championship with rounds of 65-65—130, 11-under-par.  They edged out the team of Chad Moscovic, PGA director of instruction at Eldorado Country Club, and Mike Calef apprentice head professional at Eldorado Country Club, to claim the Championship and take home the first place team prize of $2,750 from the $23,000 purse.

This victory marks Doan’s 11th Pro-Assistant victory of his career. From 2002-2008 Doan paired with one of his assistants to win eight in a row. His other two victories came in 2010 and 2013.

Moscovic and Calef shot rounds of 69-62—131 for their second place finish. Host professional and PGA Director of Golf at Four Seasons Resort and Club Paul Earnest and his partner Grady Randle, PGA teaching professional took third with rounds of 70-62—132.

A total of 119 teams competed in this 36-hole Four-Ball Stroke Play event.  The 2015 KBS TOUR Shafts Pro-Assistant Championship presented by AT&T Byron Nelson Championship, Bushnell Golf, Callaway Golf, Club Car, ibrolly Golf and Wee Golf was conducted at Four Seasons Resort and Club (TPC & Cottonwood Valley Courses) in Irving, Texas.
