ENTRY FEE: With the $110.00 payment to the PGA of America, an additional $90.00 entry fee is payable to the Section no later than Thursday, August 17 at 5:00 p.m. This entitles each player to the shared use of a Club Car, unlimited Titleist range balls each day and lunch following round one. The balance will be applied to the Championship purse.
FORMAT: The Championship will be contested at stroke play over 36 holes. The starting times and groupings for round one will be available by calling Gentle Creek Golf Club (972) 346-2500 or the NTPGA or by visiting www.ntpga.com after 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 18. (If you require a starting time request for round one, please denote on entry form no later than 5:00 p.m. on August 17.) Starting times will be off of the 1st and 10th tees in the morning and the afternoon. The field will be repaired for the final round according to round one scores. Low scores will play in the afternoon wave and higher scores will play in the morning wave.
NATIONAL QUALIFYING SPOTS: There will be nine (9) qualifying spots available for the 40th PGA Professional National Championship being held June 21-24, 2007 at Sunriver Resort in Sunriver, Oregon.
PRACTICE ROUNDS: Practice rounds will be available weekdays prior to the Championship for Metro Chapter Members and on a limited space available basis on Sunday afternoon for those players from the East Texas and West Texas Chapters. Contact Gentle Creek Golf Club at (972) 346-2500 to arrange a practice round starting time.
REGISTRATION: Tournament registration will take place from 6:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the clubhouse on Monday, August 21. Please be sure to register prior to your starting time.
TITLEIST/FOOTJOY/COBRA & CLUB CAR LUNCHEON: Prior to, or following round one, there will be a luncheon for all contestants, invited guests and sponsors of the event. The function will be held in the Main Dining Room. All contestants are encouraged to attend the luncheon. This function is sponsored by Titleist/FootJoy/Cobra and Club Car.
REFUNDS: If you are unable to play, please notify the section office. In accordance with the national policy, you will be refunded $50.00 of the $110.00 entry fee you paid the PGA national office. After 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 19, no refunds will be issued.
