HOST PROFESSIONALS: Lindy Miller, Director of Golf. Jeff Bradley, Head Golf Professional – (817) 294-6600
ELIGIBILITY: Open to eligible NTPGA Members and Registered Apprentices and a scratch amateur of their choice. Entries will be accepted on a priority basis as follows: Prior to Thursday, March 30 – (1) Teams of one Class A Member and a scratch amateur; and (2) Teams of one Registered Apprentice and a scratch amateur. Following Thursday, March 30 – Teams will be accepted on a first-come basis.
FORMAT: 36 holes at Four-Ball Stroke Play. 18 holes played each day. The field will be re-paired by score after the first round within the respective a.m./p.m. waves. For the final round, all teams from the a.m. wave from round one will play in the p.m. wave. All teams from the p.m. wave from round one will play in the a.m. wave for the final round.
PURSE: $16,000.00 total purse (based on a full field). The total purse includes a team purse as well as a $5,000 professional bonus pool as described below.
BONUS POOL: As in 2005, Adams Golf will be offering a $5,000.00 bonus pool for NTPGA professionals. To be eligible for the bonus pool, the NTPGA professional must play an Adams Golf product as defined by having a minimum of either one wood (driver or fairway), one hybrid club, or one set of irons (minimum of six clubs to qualify as a set). A total of 10 places will be paid, with first place receiving $2,000.00. Amateurs will not be eligible for the Adams Golf bonus pool.
ENTRY FEE: $300.00 per team. This includes cart/range fees for both rounds, and lunch following the first round as well as the professional/amateur purse.
ENTRY DEADLINE: Thursday, April 6 at 5:00 p.m. CDT. The first 78 team entries will be accepted into the field (in accordance with the priority system identified above). Entry forms shall be returned to the Northern Texas PGA via mail, facsimile, overnight carrier or in person, contestants may also enter on-line, prior to the entry deadline. On-line entries will be accepted at www.ntpga.com.
STARTING TIMES: First round starting times will be emailed out to all participants by Blue Golf. Times will also be available by calling Mira Vista Golf Club or the Northern Texas PGA, or checking on www.ntpga.com after 3:00 p.m. on Friday, April 7.
PRACTICE ROUNDS: Contact Mira Vista Golf Club to schedule a practice round starting time. Participants that reside in the DFW area must schedule a practice round during the week, starting March 6. Participants coming from out of town will be able to schedule a practice round on Sunday, April 9 after 12:00 p.m.
NON-METAL SPIKES: Mira Vista Golf Club is a non-metal spike facility. Shoes with metal spikes will not be permitted.
ACCOMMODATIONS: The Holiday Inn Express in Fort Worth (817) 292-4900 is offering a rate of $89.00 +tax (single/double). Please make reservations prior to April 8. When making a reservation please state that you are with the Northern Texas PGA Group. The hotel is approximately 5 minutes from the club.
