Entry fee must accompany application and be payable in cash, cashier’s check, money order, traveler’s check, or VISA or MasterCard. Personal checks will only be accepted from members of: the PGA of America, or the Nationwide Tour. The additional $200.00 entry fee for successful pre-qualifiers (50 and ties) must be paid prior to the player’s starting time in the Open Qualifying competition. Successful open qualifiers will have their entry fee posted towards the tournament proper. Entry fee includes green fee and range usage on the competition day(s).

Open Qualifying Tournament Monday, April 23, 2007

COURSE:
Timarron Country Club, Southlake, Texas (Host site for both Pre-Qualifying and Open Qualifying)

ELIGIBILITY: Professionals and Amateurs with a handicap index when applied to the qualifying course slope will generate a handicap of two (2) or less. The Northern Texas PGA Section reserves the right to verify the handicap index of amateurs and to refuse anyone not meeting the requirements.

FORMAT: Pre-Qualifying will be stroke play over 18 holes. All amateurs and professionals who are not PGA TOUR, Champions Tour full members, Nationwide Tour members or non-members who have made a combined 150 career cuts must pre-qualify and the successful low 50 scores and ties will advance to the Open Qualifying competition. The Open Qualifying will be played at stroke play over 18 holes with the low four (4) qualifiers advancing to the 2007 EDS Byron Nelson Championship. For Open Qualifying only, if there is a tie for the last qualifying spot(s), a sudden-death playoff will commence immediately after the conclusion of play. The Northern Texas PGA Section reserves the right to change the schedule of play and locations as presently contemplated.

FIELD SIZE: The Pre-Qualifying field size is limited to a maximum of 168 non PGA TOUR member contestants.

STARTING TIMES: Starting times for Pre-Qualifying will be available after 3:00 p.m. CST, Saturday, April 14, 2007 at: Timarron Country Club, or on the web at www.ntpga.com. Starting times for Open Qualifying will be available on Saturday, April 21, 2007 after 3:00 p.m. CST.

PRACTICE ROUNDS: Practice rounds must be arranged the with host facility. Practice round fees will be $30.00. NOTE: Hole #1 will be played as a 435-yard par 4 for the qualifying events. Please note: Timarron Country Club will be closed for practice rounds on Monday, April 16, 2007.

WITHDRAWALS: Applicants must withdraw prior to the entry deadline to be eligible for an entry fee refund. Contestants who withdraw during the round may be subject to disciplinary action.

REFUNDS: No refunds will be issued after the April 13th entry deadline. Refunds will be granted for withdrawals prior to the date listed on the entry form and will be charged a $25.00 cancellation fee. Withdrawals after this date will not receive a refund.

RULES OF GOLF: Play shall be governed in accordance with the Rules of Golf of the United States Golf Association, as modified by the PGA TOUR 2007 Local Rules and Conditions of Competition card and supplemented by the Notice to Competitors. Questions or disputes shall be settled by the on site Rules Committee appointed by the PGA TOUR, whose decision shall be final. NOTE: Measuring devices are not permitted in PGA TOUR qualifying events.

SPIKE POLICY: The use of traditional metal spikes is permitted during the Competitions. Timarron Country Club is a non-metal spike facility, all contestants MUST abide by this policy during practice rounds.

TRANSPORTATION: Players are permitted to use golf carts during the Pre-Qualifying round. Players and Caddies shall walk at all times during the Open Qualifying round, except when permitted to ride by the Rules Committee. Players are not required to have a caddie; they may carry their clubs or use a manual or motorized pull cart.

Anyone seeking a golf cart due to a disability defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) should contact the PGA TOUR Competition Department at 904/285-3700 to obtain information on procedures for submitting such requests. All such request due to temporary injuries or impairments that do not qualify as a “disability” under the ADA will not be granted.

APPEARANCE: While on host facility property during qualifying rounds; players shall present a neat appearance in both clothing and personal grooming. Blue jeans, shorts, T-shirts, or shirts without collars shall not be worn. Caddies shall present a neat appearance in both clothing and personal grooming.

CONDUCT: While on host facility property during qualifying rounds; players and caddies shall conduct themselves in a professional manner. The Northern Texas PGA Section reserves the right to remove a player from the qualifying competition for; non-competitiveness; conduct unbecoming a professional by the player; conduct unbecoming a professional by the players’ caddie.
