Host Professional:

Eligibility:
Open to eligible NTPGA Members and Apprentices.

 

Format: 
There will be a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start. Registration and lunch will commence at 11:00 a.m. in the pavilion.  The format for the Pro-Am will be the low net ball, plus the low gross ball of the team.  Two separate balls must count. Amateurs will receive 75% of their handicap (handicap limit of 24). 

 

Team Entry Fee: 
$375.00 team entry fee (three amateurs @ $125.00 each).  Field size is limited to 30 teams.  Professionals can enter without an amateur team. They will be assigned a team from Sherrill Park. A limited number of professional only entries will be accepted.

 

Professional Entry Fee:    
$40.00 professional entry fee payable onsite. The professional entry fee will be put into a skins pool for professionals only.  Professionals can enter without an amateur team. They will be assigned a team from Sherrill Park. A limited number of professional only entries will be accepted.

 

The entry fee includes the following:

·         One round of golf

·         Complimentary range balls

·         Tee gift for each participant

·         Beverages during the Pro-Am

·         Closest to the hole/long drive prizes for amateurs

·         Lunch prior to shotgun start

 

Team Prize Distribution: 
The amateur purse will be paid to 33% of the field as follows (based on a field of 30 teams): 1st) $200.00 per player;  2nd) $175.00 per player;  3rd) $150.00 per player;  4th) $125.00 per player;  5th) $100.00 per player;  6th) $75.00 per player;  7th) $50.00 per player;  8th) $45.00 per player; 9th)  $40.00 per player; 10th) $35.00 per player. Amateurs will be awarded gift certificates to the Sherrill Park golf shop.

 

Pro-Am Entry Deadline:   
Monday, June 4 at 5:00 p.m. CDT.  All Pro-Am entry forms shall be returned to the Northern Texas PGA via mail, facsimile, overnight carrier or in person prior to the entry deadline. A maximum of 30 teams will be accepted.

 

Dress Code:         
Proper golf attire is required.  Bermuda-length shorts are permitted for amateurs; however, slacks must be worn by all professionals during the Pro-Am.

 

Non-Metal Spikes:             
The E-Z-GO Eastern Championship Pro-Am is a non-metal spike tournament only.

 

 

Measuring Devices Permitted

Distance-Measuring Devices – Rule 14.

A player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance only.  However, if, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g., gradient, wind-speed, temperature, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 14-3, for which penalty is disqualification, regardless of whether any such additional functions are actually used. 
Player of the Year Points

The E-Z-GO Eastern Championship is the first of four stroke play events that will serve as qualifying events for the year-end Cleveland Golf / Club Car Match Play Championship, Texas Joe Black Cup and the James P. Jordan Cup teams.

Round Two Player's Pool

There will be an optional second round Player’s Pool for those players who are outside the money after the first round. Entry fee into the Player’s

Pool will be $20.00 cash and will be collected on the tee at your starting time.  The Player’s Pool is based on scores for round two only.  The payout for the lowest round two scores are 1st-50%, 2nd-30% and 3rd-20%. The Player’s Pool is separate from the tournament purse
