Eligibility:
Professional and amateur golfers who were female at birth. All amateurs must have a current USGA Handicap Index of 9.9 or lower. Contestants are NOT required to reside in Texas.

Exempt Categories: (1) Past Champions; (2) Top 15 professionals and ties from the 2006 Texas Women’s Open; (3) Top 10 amateurs and ties from the 2006 Texas Women’s Open; (4) PGA Members and Apprentices; (5) LPGA Members; (6) 2006 Texas Legend's Junior Tour Girls 15-18 Player of the Year

 Contestant Information
Starting Field / Format:
Limited to 120 contestants. 36-hole stroke play event with no cut. If more than 120 entries are received, priority will be given to (1) Exempt players; (2) Remaining entries in the order they are received.

Purse:
Estimated professional purse of $10,000.00 (Based on 58 amateurs and 42 professionals). No amateur gift certificates will be awarded. The low five amateur finishers will receive a crystal trophy. 33% of the professional field will be paid.

Entry Fees:
$150.00 – Amateurs
$200.00 – LPGA / PGA Members and Apprentices
$250.00 – Other professionals / FUTURES Tour Members

All entry fees are payable in cash, cashier’s check, money order or VISA, MasterCard, AMEX or Discover Card. Personal checks will be accepted from LPGA/PGA Members and Apprentices only. All players must have a valid social security number or tax identification number in order to enter the competition.

Tournament entry fees include tournament cart/range fees, a Cutter & Buck shirt, a signed copy of Kathy Whitworth’s Little Book of Golf Wisdom, as well as breakfast prior to and lunch following each round.

Entry Deadline:
Friday, June 15 at 5:00 p.m. CDT. Entry forms shall be returned to the Northern Texas PGA via mail, facsimile, overnight carrier or in person prior to the entry deadline. Applications late or incomplete will not be accepted. Online entries will also be accepted at www.ntpga.com.

Refunds:
All refund requests must be made prior to the entry deadline, after which refunds will not be granted. NOTE: A $25.00 administrative fee will be charged should a player withdraw from the event.

Starting Times:
First round starting times will be emailed out to all players by the Northern Texas PGA. Starting times will also be available by calling Eastern Hills Country Club or the Northern Texas PGA or check www.ntpga.com after 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 16.

Practice Rounds:
Contact Eastern Hills Country Club to schedule a practice round. Practice round starting times are available two weeks prior to the event on a space available basis. NOTE: Practice rounds will only be available after 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 19 due to the Texas Women’s Open at Eastern Hills Country Club Pro-Am. An all-inclusive fee of $20.00 will be charged for practice rounds. Practice rounds are available to contestants only.

Pro-Am:
The Texas Women’s Open at Eastern Hills Country Club Pro-Am will be conducted on Tuesday, June 19. The Pro-Am will commence with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start and is for invited guests and professionals only. Professionals are needed for the Pro-Am. There is no entry fee for professionals to participate in the Pro-Am and they will compete for a professional purse during the event.

Accommodations:
Best Western Park Suites, located in Plano is offering a rate of $70.00 (single/double) + tax. Please call (972) 578-2243 to make a reservation. When making a reservation, state that you are with the Northern Texas PGA group. The hotel is located approximately 25 minutes from Eastern Hills Country Club.

Eastern Hills Country Club is offering housing for contestants only with a host family during the event. The number of host family housing is limited. Please contact Jack Gorman or Christian Hughes at Eastern Hills Country Club for information and reservations.

Transportation:
Contestants are required to use golf carts furnished by Eastern Hills Country Club or furnish their own caddie. Carrying your own golf bag is not permitted. Only two golf carts are permitted per group. NOTE: No more than two contestants, caddies or spectators are permitted to ride in or on a golf cart at any time.

Measuring Devices:
The use of distance measuring devices will be permitted during the Texas Women’s Open at Eastern Hills Country Club.

Non-Metal Spikes:
Eastern Hills Country Club is a non-metal spike facility. Shoes with metal or ceramic spike(s) will not be permitted.

Dress Code:
Proper golf attire is required during the Championship and any applicable practice rounds. Contestants shall present a neat appearance, appropriate to the game of golf, in both clothing and grooming. Denim clothing shall not be worn at the tournament site. Shorts and sleeveless and/or collarless shirts are considered appropriate attire.

All caddies are required to wear long pants or knee-length tailored shorts, and a collared shirt while on club property. Denim clothing, shorts, T-shirts, or shirts without collars shall not be worn. Caddies shall present a neat appearance in both clothing and personal grooming. Caddies shall wear smooth rubber-sole shoes preferably tennis or basketball shoes (golf spikes are not permitted).

New Beginning Center:
The 2007 Texas Women’s Open at Eastern Hills Country Club will benefit the New Beginning Center of Garland. The center exists to foster an environment of safety, support and respect for families affected by domestic violence. Kathy Whitworth:
In addition to signing copies of her new book for tournament participants, Kathy Whitworth will be making personal appearances throughout the week of the Texas Women’s Open at Eastern Hills Country Club. Kathy Whitworth is one of the most successful players in golf history with eighty-eight career wins as a professional. Kathy was named Player of the Year seven times in eight years by the LPGA and she was inducted into both the LPGA Hall of Fame and the World of Golf Hall of Fame in 1975.
