MILLER SHOOTS COURSE RECORD IN FINAL ROUND TO CLAIM THE FINA NTPGA SENIORS’ CHAMPIONSHIP

SIX ADVANCE TO THE CALLAWAY GOLF SENIOR PGA PROFESSIONAL NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

FORT WORTH, Texas – Lindy Miller, director of golf at Mira Vista Golf Club, fired a new course record of 9-under par 63 (31-32) during today’s final round to claim the FINA NTPGA Seniors’ Championship. Miller carded one eagle, nine birdies and two bogeys during his round today and finished the Championship with a two day total score of 10-under par 134 (71-63). With his victory Miller will lead five (5) Northern Texas PGA Section Senior Professionals to compete in the 2007 Callaway Golf Senior PGA Professional National Championship on October 18-21 at the PGA Golf Club in Port St.Lucie, Florida. Miller will return to the Callaway Golf Senior PGA Professional National Championship to improve upon his eighth place last year. Two time defending champion Perry Arthur, director of instruction at Stonebridge Ranch Country Club, finished the Championship three shots back at 7-under par 137 (72-65).

Miller and Arthur will also be joined at the National Championship by; Billy Harris, head golf professional at Dallas Country Club, Michael Hurley, head golf professional at Grayson County College Golf Course, Bill Garrett, PGA Life Member and Mickey Piersall, head golf professional at Keeton Park Golf Course.

The FINA NTPGA Seniors’ Championship was a 36-hole stroke play event contested at Hawks Creek Golf Club, a 6,870-yard, par 72 layout located in Fort Worth, Texas. The 26-player field competed for a share of the $3,820.00 purse with champion Lindy Miller taking home $1,000.00.

The 2007 FINA Northern Texas PGA Seniors’ Championship was sponsored by FINA.
