Eligibility:
Open to eligible NTPGA Members and Apprentices (A-3 Members may not play on the same team).
Format:
36 holes at Four-Ball Stroke Play.
Purse:
$31,500.00 (based on a full field of 60 teams).
Entry Fee:
$600.00 per team, this includes both contestant’s golf car and range balls each day, breakfast each morning, lunch following the first round and a sponsor gift from American Dry Goods and Cutter & Buck. Also, the Horseshoe Casino is providing a complimentary room for each team for Sunday and Monday nights. In addition, each contestant will receive a $50.00 casino chip at tournament registration on Monday morning.
Entry Deadline:
Thursday, March 1 at 5:00 p.m. CST. The first 60 team entries will be accepted into the field. Entry forms shall be returned to the Northern Texas PGA via mail, facsimile, overnight carrier or in person, or contestants may enter on-line, prior to the entry deadline. On-line entries will be accepted at www.ntpga.com. If a team signs up on-line, the player signing up the team must pay the team entry fee of $600.00, in full at that time. NOTE: A $10.00 administrative fee will be charged should a team withdraw.
Schedule of Events:
Monday: 8:30 a.m. registration opens and breakfast available. Tee times will run from 10:00 – 12:00 p.m. from both #1 and #10 tees. 11:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. lunch will be available in the Azalea Room in the clubhouse. Tuesday: 6:30 a.m. breakfast available. Tee times will run from 8:00 – 10:00 a.m. from both #1 and #10 tees. 3:00 p.m. awards presentation. For groupings please contact the NTPGA, Southern Trace CC or check www.ntpga.com after 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 2. After starting times and groupings are created, they will be e-mailed to all tournament participants from Blue Golf.
Practice Rounds:
Contact Southern Trace CC to schedule a practice round starting time. Practice rounds will be available on weekdays prior to the event. Practice round starting times will be available for participants on Sunday, March 4 before 11:00 a.m. and after 2:00 p.m. only. A cart fee of $15.00 + tax will be charged to players for practice rounds. With the limited number of times available on Sunday, please plan accordingly. NOTE: For the Championship, hole #1 will be played as a 425-yard par 4.
Senior Division:
There is a Senior Division in the Ace Laminates of Texas / Horseshoe Casino Pro-Pro Championship. In addition to the regular purse, teams with two senior professionals 50 years and older will be competing for a team purse of $1,000.00.
Accommodations:
Contestants DO NOT need to call the Horseshoe Casino to reserve their rooms (unless additional rooms are required i.e. spouses / family). One (1) complimentary double room for Sunday and Monday nights is included in each team’s entry. The NTPGA will submit each team’s names following the entry deadline. Additional rooms will be provided at a rate of $95.00 + tax per night. Contact Billy Joe Tolliver at (800) 895-0711 to make additional room reservations.
