Eligibility:
Open to eligible NTPGA Members and Registered Apprentices and a scratch amateur of their choice. Entries will be accepted on a first come first serve basis.
Format:
36-holes at Four-Ball Stroke Play. 18-holes played each day. The field will be re-paired by score after the first round within the respective a.m. / p.m. waves. For the final round, all teams from the a.m. wave from round one will play in the p.m. wave. All teams from the p.m. wave from round one will play in the a.m. wave for the final round.
Purse:
$19,200.00 total purse (based on a full field). The total purse includes the team purse as well as a $5,000.00 professional bonus pool as described below.
Bonus Pool:
Adams Golf will be offering a $5,000.00 bonus pool for NTPGA professionals. To be eligible for the bonus pool, the NTPGA professional must play an Adams Golf product as defined by having a minimum of either one wood (driver or fairway), one hybrid club, or one set of irons (minimum of six clubs to qualify as a set). A total of 10 places will be paid, with first place receiving $2,000.00. Amateurs will not be eligible for the Adams Golf bonus pool.
Entry Fee:
$300.00 per team. This includes cart/range fees for both rounds, and lunch following the first round as well as the professional/amateur purse.
Entry Deadline:
Thursday, May 1 at 5:00 p.m. CDT. The first 84 team entries will be accepted into the field. Entry forms shall be returned to the Northern Texas PGA via mail, facsimile, overnight carrier or in person, contestants may also enter on-line, prior to the entry deadline. On-line entries will be accepted at www.ntpga.com. If a team signs up on-line, the professional must sign up the team and must pay the team entry fee of $300.00, in full at that time. NOTE: A $10.00 administrative fee will be charged should a team withdraw.
Starting Times:
First round starting times will be emailed out to all professionals by the NTPGA. Times will also be available by calling WinStar Golf Course or the Northern Texas PGA, or checking on www.ntpga.com after 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 2.
Practice Rounds:
Contact WinStar Golf Course to schedule a practice round starting time and state you are playing in the Adams Golf Pro-Scratch Championship. Practice rounds are available Monday – Thursday during normal operating hours and Friday – Sunday after 12:00 p.m. beginning Monday, April 14. WinStar Golf Course has also blocked starting times on Sunday, May 4 from 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. for practice rounds. Practice round fees are $20.00 inclusive per player.
Dress Policy:
Professionals and Amateurs may wear shorts or slacks during the Championship.
Non-Metal Spikes:
WinStar Golf Course is a non-metal spike facility. Shoes with metal spikes will not be permitted.
Accommodations:
The WinStar Microtel Inn and Suites (580) 276-4487 is offering a rate of $74.00 inclusive (single or double). Please contact Michelle and state you are with the Northern Texas PGA Group. The hotel is approximately 2 minutes from the golf course and breakfast is included.
