MCMILLAN & COLTWICK LEAD NTPGA / ADAMS GOLF PRO-SCRATCH CHAMPIONSHIP

Thackerville, Oklahoma – After first round action of the NTPGA / Adams Golf Pro-Scratch Championship, the team of Robert McMillan, Head Golf Professional at The Retreat, and amateur partner Steven Coltwick have the over night lead after carding a 9-under par 63 today.

McMillan and Coltwick had nine birdies in their four-ball round this morning, including a fast start with six birdies in their first nine holes en route to an opening nine hole score of 6-under par 30 on the back nine.

Four teams sit two shots off the pace at 7-under par 65. These teams include Jeffrey Barton, Assistant Golf Professional at Preston Trail Golf Club, and amateur partner Rob Manor, along with Gregory Dick, Director of Golf at Tanglewood Country Club, and amateur partner Scott Bandemir and Tony Martinez, Head Golf Professional at Hidden Oaks Golf Course, and amateur partner Bill Hamrick, Cody Massa, Assistant Golf Professional at The Cascades, and amateur partner Chris Hotman.

The four-ball stroke play NTPGA major championship features 60 teams of one professional teamed with one scratch amateur competing at WinStar Golf Course located in Thackerville, Oklahoma.

The 60 teams are competing for a share of the $14,100.00 purse. The winning team will take home $1,500.00 for first place. Amateurs will be awarded gift certificates. Round two is scheduled to start with tee times from 8:00 – 9:20 a.m. and 12:15 – 1:15 p.m.

The Adams Golf Pro-Scratch Championship is presented by Yamaha Golf Cars.
