Distance-Measuring Devices – Rule 14.
The NTPGA & STPGA Section will allow the use of devices that measure only distance in the 2008 Texas Joe Black Cup Matches.
A player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance only. If, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g., gradient, wind-speed, temperature, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 14-3, for which penalty is disqualification, regardless of whether any such
additional function is actually used. |
| Governing Rules for Matches |
The Matches will be governed by the 2008 USGA Rules of Golf except where modified by the Captains' Agreement, the 2008 Northern Texas PGA Section Local Rules & Conditions of Competition (Hard Card) and any Local Rules listed on the Supplementary Rules of Play Sheet.
