| Measuring Devices |
Distance-Measuring Devices – Rule 14.
A player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance only. However, if, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g., gradient, wind-speed, temperature, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 14-3, for which penalty is disqualification, regardless of whether any such additional functions are actually used. |
| On-Site Registration |
Players must check in at the golf shop at least 30 minutes prior to their scheduled starting time to pay their on-site qualifying fee (maximum $25.00) and to receive their official score card. Players who do not pay the applicable onsite fee will not be allowed to compete in the qualifying tournament. |
| Starting Times and Groupings |
Starting times and groupings for this Texas State Open qualifying event will be available by calling the host facility 48 in advance of the the qualifying round, or by visiting www.ntpga.com. Pairings will also be emailed to each play entered in the qualifying event. Please note: If your qualifying is scheduled for a Tuesday, the facility may be closed on Monday for a practice round. |

There will be three (3) qualifying spots available at Garden Valley Golf Resort (Dogwood) plus ties for the last qualifying spot. |
