Eligibility:
Open to eligible NTPGA Members and Apprentices, with the exception of A-3 Members.
Format:
The Championship will be conducted at individual stroke play over 36 holes.
Purse:
$20,000.00 estimated (based on a field of 90 players).
Entry Fee:
$200.00 (Includes cart/range fees, breakfast prior to each round, lunch following round one, and a Callaway Golf tee gift).
Entry Deadline:
Thursday, July 24 at 5:00 p.m. CDT. The first 144 entries will be accepted into the field. Entry forms shall be returned to the Northern Texas PGA via mail, facsimile, overnight carrier or in person prior to the entry deadline. On-line entries will also be accepted at www.ntpga.com.
Starting Times:
First round starting times will be available by calling Midland CC or the Northern Texas PGA or check www.ntpga.com after 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 25. Starting times will also be emailed to all players after they are finalized.
Western Practice Rounds:
There is limited availability on Sunday, July 27 between 8:00 - 11:00 a.m. and then also between 2:00 - 3:15 p.m. Primarily practice rounds will be available after 6:00 p.m. due to a small sponsor pro-am beginning at 1:30 p.m. Please Contact Midland CC to schedule a practice round.
Callaway Golf Bonus Pool:
Callaway Golf will be offering a $1,750.00 bonus pool for NTPGA professionals. To be eligible for the bonus pool, the NTPGA professional must play a Callaway Driver and/or a Callaway golf ball for all 36-holes (One Ball Condition applies). Five (5) places will be paid as follows: 1st $750.00; 2nd $500.00; 3rd $250.00; 4th $150.00 and 5th $100.00. All ties will be equally shared.
Player’s Pool:
Professionals “out of the money” following the first round will be eligible for a final round player’s pool of $1,000.00. “Out of the money” is defined by those players who would not earn tournament winnings based on the posted tournament proper purse. There is no additional entry fee for the Player’s Pool. The final round player’s pool is separate from the tournament proper purse. The payout will be as follows: 1st – 20%; 2nd – 17%; 3rd – 14%; 4th – 12%; 5th – 10%; 6th – 8%; 7th – 5.5%; 8th – 5.0%; 9th – 4.5%; 10th – 4.0%. All ties will be equally shared. The final round player’s pool will be paid out by the Section office via check or direct deposit only.
Player of the Year:
The Callaway Golf Western Championship is the second of four stroke play events that will serve as qualifying events for the year-end Match Play Championship, Texas Joe Black Cup and the James P. Jordan Cup teams.

Due to an extremely large national softball tournament being held in Midland the week of July 28 accommodations are very limited.
