Eligibility: Open to all Class A-8 members and all apprentices who are in good standing at the time of registration.
NOTE: Qualifying for the 32nd TaylorMade-adidas Golf PGA Assistant Championship is held in conjunction with the 2008 Northern Texas Section TaylorMade-adidas Golf PGA Assistant Championship.
Qualifying Spots: There are four (4) qualifying spots and (3) three alternate spots into the 32nd TaylorMade-adidas Golf PGA Assistant Championship. The National Championship is scheduled for October 30 – November 2 at The PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Format: The Championship will be conducted at individual stroke play over 36-holes.
Purse: $5,000.00 estimated (based on a field of 78 players).
Entry Fee: $125.00 for all players NOT registered with the PGA National Office.
$100.00 for all players registered with the PGA National Office.
Entry Deadline: Thursday, July 31 at 5:00 p.m. CDT. Entry forms for the 2008 Northern Texas Section TaylorMade-adidas Golf PGA Assistant Championship must be returned to the Northern Texas PGA via mail, facsimile, overnight carrier or in person prior to the entry deadline. On-line entries will be accepted at www.ntpga.com.
Starting Times: First round starting times and groupings will be available by calling the Northern Texas PGA or check www.ntpga.com after 12:00 p.m. on Friday, August 1. Starting times and groupings will also be emailed to all players as soon as they are finalized.
Practice Rounds: Practice rounds will be available weekdays prior to the Championship and on Saturdays and Sundays after 12:00 p.m. on a space available basis. Practice rounds are $15 plus tax on Monday - Friday and $25 plus tax on the weekend. Contact Lantana Golf Club to schedule a practice round starting time.
Accommodations: La Quinta Inn is offering a rate of $59 (double) and $65 (single) plus tax. The Days Inn of Lewisville is offering a rate of $56 (double) and $50 (single). Please make accommodations as soon as possible in order to take advantage of these rates.
