Eligibility:
Open to eligible NTPGA Members who are a minimum of 50 years of age as of August 25, 2008, with the exception of A-3 Members.
NOTE: Qualifying for the 2008 Callaway Golf Senior PGA Professional National Championship is held in conjunction with the FINA NTPGA Seniors’ Championship.
Qualifying Spots:
There are four (4) qualifying spots and three (3) alternate spots into the 2008 Callaway Golf Senior PGA Professional National Championship. The National Championship is scheduled for October 2-5, 2008 at Andalusa Country Club in La Quinta, California and Toscana Country Club in Indian Wells, California.
Format:
The Championship will be conducted at individual stroke play over 36-holes. 18-holes played each day.
Divisions:
(1) Overall Championship; (2) Age Groups [50-57, 58-65, and 66 & Up].
Purse:
$3,500.00 estimated (based on a field of 30 players).
Entry Fee:
$125.00 (Includes cart/range fees for both rounds, breakfast prior to and lunch following both rounds).
Entry Deadline:
Thursday, August 21 at 5:00 p.m. CDT. Entry forms for the FINA Northern Texas PGA Seniors’ Championship must be returned to the Northern Texas PGA via mail, facsimile, overnight carrier or in person prior to the entry deadline. On-line entries will be accepted at www.ntpga.com.
Starting Times:
First round starting times and groupings will be available by calling the Northern Texas PGA or check www.ntpga.com after 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 23. Starting times and groupings will also be emailed to all players as soon as they are finalized.
Practice Rounds:
Practice rounds will be available weekdays prior to the Championship and on Saturdays and Sundays after 12:00 p.m. on a space available basis. Contact Hurricane Creek Country Club to schedule a practice round starting time.
Senior Series:
This is the third event of the NTPGA Senior Series. The NTPGA Senior Series includes the Eastern, Western, Seniors’ and NTPGA Championships. NTPGA Senior Points for representation on the Texas Joe Black Cup team will also be distributed to the top 10 finishers.
Accommodations:
The Comfort Suites in McKinney is offering a rate of $94.00 + tax for a double and $89.00 + tax for a single. Please call (972) 548-9595 to make your reservation and identify that you are with the NTPGA. The hotel is approximately 10 minutes from the golf course.
