Eligibility:
Open to the top 32 eligible NTPGA Members from the player of the year points standings following the NTPGA Section Championship. Note: The field will be seeded according to position on the current player of the year points standings.
Format:
Individual match play contested over 18-holes. There is no consolation bracket.
Purse:
$34,400.00 (estimated). Projected purse breakdown:First Round Loss: $700.00
Second Round Loss: $1,000.00
Quarterfinal Loss: $1,300.00
Semi-final Loss: $1,800.00
Runner up: $2,400.00
Champion: $4,000.00
Entry Fee:
$200.00 (Includes cart/range fees for all matches, lunch all days, and tee gifts for all contestants from Ashworth and Cleveland Golf).
Entry Deadline:
Wednesday, November 5 at 5:00 p.m. CST. Entry forms shall be returned to the Northern Texas PGA via mail, facsimile, overnight carrier or in person prior to the entry deadline. On-line entries will ONLY be accepted for exempt professionals (positions 1-32) on the points list at www.ntpga.com. Professionals on the points list (positions 33-45) must return an entry form. Applications late or incomplete will not be accepted. Contestants who do not register by the stated deadline will have their spot in the field replaced by an alternate from the player of the year standings.
Contestants who have entered may withdraw and receive a full refund, minus an administration fee, prior to 5:00 p.m. CST on Saturday, November 8. To withdraw, call and/or leave a message for Harold Geyer at 214-420-7421 ext. 110 or Mike Stiller ext. 108. After this time, the seedings and first round matches will be finalized. If a contestant withdraws after 5:00 p.m. on Saturday (or no shows) they will not receive a refund or payment for loss of first round match. They will not be replaced in the field by an alternate; therefore their opponent will receive a bye in the first round.
Starting Times:
First round seedings and starting times will be available by calling Four Seasons Resort and Club or checking www.ntpga.com after 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 9. See enclosed match play bracket for approximate starting times.
Practice Rounds:
Practice rounds will be available weekdays beginning November 4th for Metro Chapter members. A limited number of practice rounds will be available on Sunday, November 9th for East and West Chapter members. Contact Four Seasons Resort and Club to schedule a practice round.
Accommodations:
The following hotel accommodations are recommended for contestants: Four Seasons Resort - (972) 717-0700 ($160.00 per night plus taxes) Contestants need to identify they are with the NTPGA group when making a reservation.
