Eligibility:
Open to eligible NTPGA Members and Apprentices (A-3 Members may not play on the same team).
Format:
36-holes at Four-Ball Stroke Play.
Purse:
$32,000.00 (based on a full field of 60 teams).
Entry Fee:
$550.00 per team, this includes both contestant’s golf car and range balls each day, continental breakfast each morning, lunch during the first round and a sponsor gift from American Dry Goods, Cutter & Buck and Devant Sport Towels. In addition, each contestant will receive $100.00 in promotional casino chips at tournament registration on Monday morning. Promotional chips must be played and are not eligible to be cashed in. Accommodations are not included in the entry fee.
Entry Deadline:
Thursday, February 28 at 5:00 p.m. CST. The first 60 team entries will be accepted into the field. Entry forms shall be returned to the Northern Texas PGA via mail, facsimile, overnight carrier or in person, or contestants may enter on-line, prior to the entry deadline. On-line entries will be accepted at www.ntpga.com. If a team signs up on-line, the player signing up the team must pay the team entry fee of $550.00, in full at that time. NOTE: A $10.00 administrative fee will be charged should a team withdraw.
Schedule of Events:
Monday: 8:30 a.m. registration opens and breakfast available. Tee times will run from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. from both #1 and #10 tees. 11:30 a.m. – a box lunch will be delivered to all teams on the golf course. Tuesday: 6:30 a.m. breakfast available. Tee times will run from 8:00 – 10:00 a.m. from both #1 and #10 tees. 3:00 p.m. - awards presentation. For groupings please contact the NTPGA, Southern Trace CC or check www.ntpga.com after 3:00 p.m. on Friday, February 29. After starting times and groupings are created, they will be e-mailed to all tournament participants from Blue Golf.
Practice Rounds:
Contact Southern Trace CC to schedule a practice round starting time. Practice rounds will be available on weekdays prior to the event. Practice round starting times will be available for participants on Sunday, March 2 before 11:00 a.m. and after 2:00 p.m. only. A cart fee of $20.00 inclusive will be charged to players for practice rounds. With the limited number of times available on Sunday, please plan accordingly.
Senior Division:
NOTE: 2008 Tournament Rules & Regulations were changed at the NTPGA Annual Meeting after the original entry form was sent out. Effective immediately, there will not be a Senior Division purse for the 2008 Championship. A forward set of tees has been implemented for contestants 60 years of age and older. This set of tees will be set at approximatley 90% of the Championship yardage.
Accommodations:
Hilton Shreveport – (located 5 minutes from the Horseshoe Casino) Double rooms are available for $119.00 inclusive per night. The Horseshoe Casino has a business relationship with the Hilton Shreveport in which you must contact Mandy at the Horseshoe Casino at (318) 741-7844 to make your reservation at the Hilton Shreveport for this event. Please state that you are with the NTPGA when making your reservation. Due to a concert and slot tournament, rooms at the Horseshoe Casino are available beginning at $475.00 + tax for two nights.
