Host Professional:
Mark Viskozki, Director of Golf (972) 299-6837.
Eligibility:
Open to eligible NTPGA Members classified A-1, A-2, A-4, A-13 or A-14 teamed with one of their employed assistants. The assistant professional must be an A-8 Member or Registered Apprentice [all B-Classifications]. A maximum of four (4) employed assistant professionals from a facility may compete if playing with a Head Professional or Director of Golf. If a Head Professional or Director of Golf is playing together, the maximum number of employed assistant professionals that can compete is three (3). The maximum number of players per team is five (5).
Format:
36-holes at Four-Ball Stroke Play. Play will commence with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start with continuous play over 36-holes. Boxed lunches will be provided during the round. Maximum field size is 132 players.
Please note: This event will serve as a qualifier for the Metro Chapter Team Match Play Championship. To enter, each team must pay an additional $100.00. The low 16 teams will advance to the Metro Chapter Team Match Play Finals. Seedings will be determined by your team’s 36-hole total.
Purse:
$20,000.00 (based on 90 teams). The total purse includes a team purse as well as a $1,000.00 bonus pool from Srixon. Each player on the Championship team will also receive a Corbin suit blazer from Nichols Golf.
Srixon Bonus Pool:
Srixon will be conducting a $1,000.00 bonus pool. To be eligible for the bonus pool, the NTPGA professional must play a Srixon ball for all 36-holes (One Ball Condition applies). The team’s score will determine the prize distribution. Ties will be equally shared.
Entry Fee:
$150.00 per team. This includes each contestant’s golf car, range balls, a dozen Srixon Z-URC balls "Jim Furyk's ball of choice", use of a Bushnell rangefinder and a tee gift from Ash City, Legendary Headwear and Mulholland. A continental breakfast prior to play, a box lunch during play, along with h’dourves and beverages after play is provided compliments of RSM McGladrey.
Entry Deadline:
Thursday, March 27 at 5:00 p.m. CDT. Entry forms shall be returned to the Northern Texas PGA via mail, facsimile, overnight carrier or in person prior to the entry deadline. Please note that online registration is not available for this event.
Practice Rounds:
Contact Tangle Ridge Golf Club to schedule a practice round. Practice rounds will be available Monday – Friday and after 12:00 p.m. on the weekends.
Dress Policy:
Professionals may wear shorts during the Championship rounds.

Holiday Inn Express – Interstate 20 at Carrier Parkway: (972) 264-4002 is offering a rate of $109.00 + tax (single) and $119.00 + tax (double/suite). Please state that you are with the Northern Texas PGA group when making a reservation. The hotel is approximately 15 minutes from Tangle Ridge Golf Club. Please Note: The host hotel for the event has a reservation cut-off date of Monday, March 17, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. Please plan accordingly.
