Six Teams Named Co-Champions of the Srixon Pro-Assistant Championship

Grand PrairieInclement weather forced the 2008 Srixon Pro-Assistant Championship to be shortened to 18-holes. After the completion of round one, there was a six way tie for first place. The teams of Cameron Doan and Brian Ricketts and Cameron Doan and Jeff Barton from Preston Trail Golf Club, Billy Harris and Paul Norris and Billy Harris and Meagan Hull from Dallas Country Club, Jerry Smith and Vince Jewell from Brook Hollow Golf Club and Britt Patton and Judd Whiteman from Dallas National Golf Club all fired rounds of 67 (-5) to share first place in the 2008 NTPGA / SRIXON Pro-Assistant Championship contested at Tangle Ridge Golf Club in Grand Prairie. For their victory the teams each pocketed $1,483.33 from the $19,800.00 purse.

A total of 78 teams of head golf professionals teamed with their assistant golf professionals for the 36-hole four-ball stroke play event. The 2008 Srixon Pro-Assistant Championship presented by Mulholland, Nichols Golf, RSM McGladrey and Yamaha Golf Cars was conducted at Tangle Ridge Golf Club, Grand Prairie, Texas.
