39th Chesapeake Energy Texas State Open

The entry deadline for entering the a qualifying tournament and the Championship proper is Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. CDT.

For all non-exempt players, 39th Chesapeake Energy Texas State Open qualifying begins on this date at various sites across Texas.

There will be a minimum of four (4) qualifying spots for the 39th Chesapeake Energy Texas State Open at this qualifying tournament.  The Cascades will be the primary site with Hollytree Country Club as the overflow site.  NO site requests will be granted should the total number of entries necessitate using two golf courses.  For more information or to download an entry form please visit www.ntpga.com.

Please note that The Cascades will be closed on Monday, July 13.  NO practice areas may be used and NO practice rounds will be permiteed.

Joyce Crane Texas State Open Pro-Am will feature two (2) separate shotgun starts and competitions.  The first shotgun start will begin at 8:00 AM and the next shotgun start set to begin at 1:00 PM. 

The first 15 professionals entering a paid team into  this event gain an exemption into the 39th Chesapeake Energy Texas State Open.  (Note:  The Pro-Am teams consist of  one (1) professional and three (3) amateurs).

The Texas State Open official practice round starting times will begin at 8:00 AM.  All competitors must wear slacks during the Championship and applicable Championship practice rounds. All competitors and caddies must walk during the Championship and applicable Championship practice rounds. The Texas State Open is a non-metal spike tournament.

Texas State Open registration will begin at 12:00 PM on Wednesday and continue until 6:00 PM in the clubhouse at The Cascades.

Tournament registration will also take place on Thursday, July 12 starting at 6:30 AM and continuing until tee times are complete.

The Joyce Crane Youth Clinic is scheduled from 5:00 to 6:30 PM on The Cascades driving range. Admission is free for juniors and adults.

Starting times will begin on holes number one and ten at 7:30 a.m.  The last tee time will be approximately 2:03 p.m.
