Eligibility:
Open to eligible NTPGA Members and Apprentices (A-3 Members may not play on the same team).
Format:
36-holes at Four-Ball Stroke Play.
Purse:
$30,000.00 (based on a full field of 60 teams).
Separate Tees/Same Purse Policy:
A separate set of tees shall be provided for men 60 years of age or older and for all women professionals. This set shall be no less than 85% and no more than 90% of the overall Championship yardage. All competitors will compete for the same purse.
Entry Fee:
$550.00 per team, this includes both contestant’s golf car and range balls each day, a box lunch during the first round and a sponsor gift from CMC Golf, KBS Shafts and TaylorMade-adidas-Ashworth Golf. In addition, each contestant will receive $100.00 in promotional casino chips following play on Monday. Promotional chips must be played and are not eligible to be cashed in. Accommodations are not included in the entry fee.
Entry Deadline:
Thursday, March 19 at 5:00 p.m. CST. The first 60 team entries will be accepted into the field. Entry forms shall be returned to the Northern Texas PGA via mail, facsimile, overnight carrier or in person, or contestants may enter on-line, prior to the entry deadline. On-line entries will be accepted at www.ntpga.com. If a team signs up on-line, the player signing up the team must pay the team entry fee of $550.00, in full at that time. NOTE: A $10.00 administrative fee will be charged should a team withdraw.
Schedule of Events:
Monday: Registration opens at 8:30 a.m., starting times will run from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. from both #1 and #10 tees. 11:30 a.m. – a box lunch will be delivered to all teams on the golf course. Tuesday: Starting times will run from 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. from both #1 and #10 tees. 3:00 p.m. - awards presentation. For groupings please contact the NTPGA, Southern Trace CC or check www.ntpga.com after 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 20. Round one starting times and groupings will be e-mailed to all tournament participants.
Practice Rounds:
Contact Southern Trace Country Club to schedule a practice round starting time. Practice rounds will be available on weekdays prior to the event. Practice round starting times will also be available for participants on Sunday, March 22 before 11:00 a.m. and after 2:00 p.m. only. A cart fee of $20.00 inclusive will be charged to players for practice rounds. With the limited number of times available on Sunday, March 22, please plan accordingly.
Dress Policy:
Contestants may wear shorts during the Championship rounds.
Accommodations:
The Horseshoe Casino is offering a rate of $70.00 per night (single or double) + tax for Sunday and Monday nights. Reservations can be made by calling (318) 655-9345 or by emailing nwlagroupreservation@harrahs.com. When making reservations please use the code C03PGA. Reservations must be made on or before March 20, 2009. After this date, rooms may not be available at the stated rate.
